ABOUT MARSHA
Marsha Page, founder of The Melanin Therapist®, is an Emmy-nominated professional makeup artist and New York State licensed esthetician with more than 25 years of experience in the beauty and entertainment industries. Her expertise lies in understanding the unique nuances, shades and undertones of melanin-rich skin, with an approach to beauty that goes far beyond the surface.
Whether working on set or in the treatment room, Marsha’s philosophy remains the same: enhance what is naturally beautiful while helping every person in her chair feel confident, seen and empowered in their own skin.
The Melanin Therapist® was born from Marsha’s passion for beauty, skincare and education, as well as her own journey of empowerment and self-love. Through her work, she is committed to addressing the unique skincare and beauty needs of people of color throughout the African diaspora while creating a space where melanin-rich skin is understood, celebrated and treated with expertise and care.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Marsha has worked extensively across television, film, editorial and fashion. She has served as a beauty contributor for InStyle and appeared as a featured contributor and makeup artist in the Netflix documentary series The Black Beauty Effect. Her film and television credits include The Week Of, The Photograph, Leave the World Behind, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, City on a Hill, Prodigal Son, Succession, Life & Beth, The Diplomat, Black Rabbit, Survival of the Thickest, Power: Origins and NCIS: New York, among others.
Marsha also served as Makeup Department Head for the award-winning film A Thousand and One, starring Teyana Taylor. Her work has extended to the Tribeca Film Festival, New York Fashion Week and Bridal Fashion Week, and she is a proud member of IATSE Local 798 Hair Stylists & Makeup Artists.
Marsha’s longtime passion for skincare ultimately led her to expand her artistry into esthetics, studying at the Christine Valmy International School of Esthetics & Cosmetology and becoming a New York State licensed esthetician. Today, through The Melanin Therapist®, her private skincare practice in Whitestone, Queens, she combines decades of experience working intimately with skin with professional esthetics training to provide results-driven, personalized treatments with a particular expertise in melanin-rich complexions.
For Marsha, makeup artistry and skincare are not two separate worlds. They are extensions of the same philosophy: healthy skin is the foundation of beautiful makeup, and every complexion deserves knowledgeable, intentional care.
Healing Skin. Radiant Beauty.
